Even after the Second World War, the T-34/85 to the end of 1946 was further produced. The entire production amounted to about 25,915 pieces. There was a conversion of older T-34/76 to 1951 (to American estimate 12,000 pieces). Poland and Czechoslovakia also built another 4,565 pieces until 1956 (resp. 1,380 and 3,185). Numerous states, eg. Egypt, used T-34/85 into the 1960s. In the National People's Army of the GDR, 1964, the T-34/76 was retired; The last 35 tanks T-34/85 with the 85mm cannon remained there until 1988 in the reserve or were used on shooting points as targets.
