Torro/Taigen 1/16 Kit RC IS-2
The IS series heavy tank was developed to replace the KV series tanks. Since they lacked mobility, and large caliber weapons. The development went from the KV series to the IS-1, which was equipped with an 85 mm D-5T gun. The lower hull now featured much more angled armor plates to the KV, similar to the T-34. The IS-1 evolved very quickly to carry a larger weapon system, the 122 mm D-25T gun. On the IS-2 in 1944, the front armor was again reinforced to provide better protection for the crew. The IS-2 kit is buildable in three different versions: RC model with BB function RC model with IR function display model The important parts of this kit are made of metal. The lower hull with torsion bar suspension, metal single link tracks, drive and idler wheels, road wheels, turret, gun barrel are made of metal as well as several hatches, small parts and the gearbox! The kit comes without electronic parts, so if you want to build the RC version you need the receiver unit, transmitter, smoke unit and a speaker.
